Conditions Treated
Stretch marks (striae) are a form of scarring on the skin that results from stretching of the dermis resulting in tearing of collagen and elastin fibers. Stretch marks often occur when the skin stretches due rapid growth or significant weight changes. Both men and women can suffer from stretch marks, but women are especially susceptible to stretch marks, particularly during pregnancy as a result of hormonal changes. Stretch marks usually appear as multiple red or purple lines and then fade to white/silver over time.
Please note, results may vary from patient to patient.
